After you’ve gotten up the nerve to ask, you might have trouble finding a creative way to pop the question. To help you out, here are some romantic and unique marriage proposal ideas that are sure to make a big impression.
Idea #1:
Take your sweetheart to the exact place where you had your first date. Reminisce a little, and then say something like “We’ve had an amazing journey together so far, and now I think we’re ready to take the next step in that journey. I’m hoping you’ll do me the honor of marrying me.”
Idea #2:
Another great marriage proposal idea is to take her someplace where she’s never been before but has always wanted to go. Make it a surprise for as long as you can hold out. Then, when you get there, on the very last night, just before you’re ready to go home, you present her with a “souvenir” from their trip. When she opens it up, inside she’ll find, along with whatever other items you have in there, her engagement ring. She’ll eat it up and she’ll never see it coming.
Idea #3:

Costa Brava Stag Do's

Costa Brava is not the Spanish holiday city of your youth. Costa Brava is a grown-up, authentically-Spanish, incredible seaside city.  Uniquely and authentically Spanish, you won’t feel surrounded by Brits – in fact, you may find only a couple of you there. Costa Brava is something of a hidden gem.

The “Rugged Coast” is just that – long, sandy beaches surrounded by a minor resort city,  and encircled by nothing but countryside. You might think there is nothing to do in a destination similar to this but beverage the wine, soak in the sun, and watch the bikinis, but there is more to Costa Brava than that.

Of course, on your stag party in Costa Brava, you may perhaps wish to just tan, beverage,  and watch,  but if you wish more, here’s what’s available. Turn your back on the beach and head out into that rugged land and jump aboard a quad bike for a trek in the mountains. Play a little woodland paintballing,  or challenge a local side to a 5-a-side football match.

Head back to the seaside, shed your football attire and take to the water. The waters of Costa Brava are incredibly blue and clear, the better to experience the strippers you can snorkel with! If you’re in a mood for the women,  finish your co-ed snorkel, and enjoy a day at the spa or a massage.

Adventure-prone stag weekenders may enjoy a high speed boat ride, caving, or sea scooters. The less adventurous may simply enjoy an afternoon learning the art of designing the perfect paella.

When the sun goes down and the beach is thinning out, it is time to get the party started. Costa Brava is known for an profusion of pubs, clubs, restaurants, and bars – all waiting for fellas like you. For a minor resort, Costa Brava has more strippers than you’re able to shake a stick at, and they enjoy putting on a good show for stag weekenders.

An night in Costa Brava may begin with a simple Spanish dinner of seafood and paella, breads, cheeses, and wine. But that is not where it ends. Take a tour, on foot, of the local pubs, graduate to the clubs, and end up in the late night bars where the strip shows take destination.

Costa Brava is so unlike any other Spanish resort you have been to,  that you will think you had discovered it yourself. It isn’t overrun by tourists (people like you!), but you will find enough people who speak British that you can communicate and navigate with ease. An genuine Spanish stag party cannot be beat.

Drakensberg mountain range world cup FIFA

The FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) World Cup, one of the world’s premier sporting events, will be held in South Africa from June 11-July 11, 2010. Approximately 450,000 football fans are anticipated to swamp South Africa to witness this event. If you plan to attend, it would be wise to visit some of South Africa’s gorgeous tourist destinations during your stay. Following is a guide to the Drakensberg mountain range, which is one of the most formidable tourist destinations in the nation.
The Drakensberg mountain range is the highest mountain range in South Africa.  Its peaks are 3,482 meters. Situated in the eastern region of South Africa and extending for approximately 1,000 kilometers from south-west to north-east, its largest area is in KwaZulu-Natal Province. UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) declared this mountainous region, which is also referred to as the uKhahlamba-Drakensberg Park, a World Heritage Site in 2000. It covers 243,000 hectares.
The basaltic mountains are known for their beautiful animals and plants. It is home to 299 recorded species of birds, according to Mary Alexander’s “Drakensberg: Barrier of Spears”. The rare Southern white rhino and the black wildebeest live at The Drakensberg, as do many other wild animals.
Many caves can be found in the Drakensberg in which the San people lived thousands of years ago. Famed for its intricate rock paintings that show the day-to-day life and religion of the Bushmen, it is home to the largest collection of rock paintings in sub-Saharan Africa.
The Drakensberg provides you with a variety of interesting things to do during your visit. Those with an adventurous streak may be interested in rock-climbing or abseiling, or maybe even white-water rafting. However if hiking is more your speed, there are plenty of hiking trails in the Drakensberg to satisfy the most avid of hikers – from the highest peak of Thabana Ntlenyana, to the lower peaks like Cathedral’s Peak. Riding horses and watching birds are other activities.
When searching for places to stay in the Drakensberg, there are a lot of luxurious 5-star hotels, game lodges and guesthouses to pick from. There is no doubt that you will find affordable accommodations there, with choices like the grass-thatched Antbear Guesthouse, the Cleopatra Mountain Farmhouse in the Kamberg Valley, the tree-houses of Sycamore Avenue, etc.

It would certainly be an excellent time to pay a visit to the Drakensberg to take in its magnificence, since South Africa’s dry winter season occurs in June and July. Seeing the magnificent range of mountains will make the memory of your football pilgrimage to South Africa last a lifetime.

is one of nine cities that will host 2010 FIFA World Cup matches, but it is a significant venue for two critical reasons. First of all, it will be the one city of the nine involved that will utilize two stadiums during the tournament. That means that it will attract football fans who are interested in seeing as much action as they can. Also, that is where the 2010 FIFA World Cup Final will be played.

World Cup Costumes

Anyone who is going to Johannesburg to see the 2010 FIFA World Cup tournament will be fairly busy because so many matches are being held there, but there are a number of tourist attractions there that are worth seeing during your vacation. Be sure that you take a guided tour of the famous group of townships referred to as Soweto, even if you have limited time available. The Mandela Family Museum is one place worth visiting when you are in Soweto. It is the first house that Nelson Mandela owned. Among the exhibits on display in the museum are pictures of Nelson Mandela and his family, as well as documents and other articles that pertain to his life. The Apartheid Museum is another attraction located in Soweto, as is the Hector Pieterson Memorial Site and Museum, which is dedicated to the 12 year old boy who was killed by police during the 1976 Soweto Uprising.

At the heart of Johannesburg there are plenty of historic sites as well as museum options. The city’s Constitutional Court is now housed at Constitution Hill, which is also the site of the now abandoned Old Fort Prison Complex, which was also referred to as “Number Four”. Nelson Mandela, Winnie Madikizela-Mandela and Mahatma Gandhi all were jailed here. It is possible to take a guided tour of the Old fort Prison Complex and the Constitutional Court. The Bernberg Museum of Fashion is also located in Johannesburg, as is the SAB World of Beer, where you can find out how beer is brewed as well as the history of the South African Breweries Ltd.

The Johannesburg Zoo is also a beloved tourist destination. Presently it is being renovated, but it remains open and it houses over 300 species, including lions, gorillas, bears, crocodiles, chimpanzees and seals.

Should you have additional time to spend following the 2010 FIFA World Cup, you may want to visit South Africa’s renowned Kruger National Park, which is only a few hours by car from Johannesburg. It is the ultimate safari location and ideal for viewing lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo and black rhino, otherwise known as the Big Five.
